Blue almonds & strawberry ice cream

Blue almonds and strawberry ice cream is a poetic contemplation of the ‘what-ifs’ of imagined futures and the ‘not-quite’ of misremembered pasts. It draws inspiration from the Polish expression ‘to think of blue almonds’ that describes daydreaming. The ‘blue almonds’ are the unreachable - the distant horizons of desires, flights of imagination & the elusive nature of memories. The ‘strawberry ice cream’ refers to my father’s childhood memory and speaks to the futile pursuit of reliving such experiences.
